Clay Raborn is the instructor and owner of Ark La Tex Scuba. His students will attest to his patient, understanding, and strong leader, along with consideration of students’ needs regardless of the level of certification desired. Growing up scuba was Clay’s biggest desire. Clay had the opportunity to train for years through the Eldorado Dive Shop with Billy Richard and Tom Hamm. Clay’s extensive history of over 20 years of diving includes becoming a PADI Instructor then PADI Master Instructor. He is very knowledgeable in equipment recommendations along with being an Aqualung Dealer and service technician.  Clay got his B.S.E Degree from Southern Arkansas University in P.E./Health, then at LA Tech in Special Education. He came back to become the scuba instructor at Southern Arkansas University for the last 18 years. He takes pride in teaching families to have fun together through scuba. He believes that scuba is the best sport for families who are looking for something to do together. He enjoys diving with his two daughters, Lauren and Erin and his mother, Laura.
